West Sayville Reformed Bible Church is part of the Federation of United Reformed Churches of North America. We are evangelistic in our approach and covenantal in our theology with the purpose of praising our Triune God in worship, fellowship, life, and testimony. If you are looking for a church home, please consider us. There are many opportunities given for studying the Word together. We would be pleased to have you join us for worship or Bible study.
We belong to West Sayville as a part of the Long Island community, and we are called to share the love of Jesus Christ and tell of His salvation starting here where God has placed us. But more broadly we desire to share the gospel with the whole world (Matthew 28:19-20). Our name Reformed reveals that our spiritual heritage lies in the Protestant Reformation of the 16th century. The Protestant Reformation was a movement which recovered the supreme importance of the Bible's authority for faith and life. We unashamedly affirm that God's Word is inerrant, infallible, and unchanging (2 Timothy 3:16). The Reformation also recovered the glorious biblical trugh of salvation by grace alone. In other words, God alone saves people by sovereignly and graciously giving them faith in Jesus Christ and a trust in his sacrifice for them on the cross as a payment for their sins (Ephesians 2:8-9). We are a Bible church because we believe the Bible to be the true and complete word of salvation The Bible is the infallible source of doctrine and direction for our lives as we continually bring our teachings and lifestyle into ever-closer conformity with God's Word. Our name Church means that we are not a social club. Christ gathers us together by His Spirit and Word to worship and serve Him (John 10:14-16). We confess that Jesus Christ is the sovereign King of the Church (Colossians 1:18). Therefore, we strive to follow Christ's Word in our doctrine, worship, government, mission, fellowship, and daily living.
